SANITATION, WATER, AND HYGIENE PROGRAM
Our Programs
Sanitation, water, and hygiene program
Access to clean water and proper sanitation is a fundamental human right, yet many communities in Kenya continue to face significant challenges in these areas. The Sanitation, Water, and Hygiene (WASH) Program is dedicated to improving public health by addressing these issues through the construction and rehabilitation of water points, such as boreholes and wells, as well as distributing safe drinking water to communities in need.
Volunteers in this program will also support hygiene education initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable practices like handwashing, waste management, and latrine maintenance, which are crucial for preventing waterborne diseases. By working closely with local communities, this program empowers them to sustain improvements in their water, sanitation, and hygiene conditions, creating healthier environments for all.
